Adair, Thomas J.
Tom Adair's practice focuses on Commercial and Intellectual Property disputes. His experience includes breach of contract, fraud, patent infringement, copyright, trademark, trade secrets, and class action claims among others. Mr. Adair's patent experience has involved a variety of technologies including processors, medical devices, radio frequency transmitting devices, and internet functionality. He is well versed in electronic discovery matters and has been involved in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Adair's experience ranges from large multi-party cases worth hundreds of millions of dollars to small single-party claims in both state and federal court. In these matters, Mr. Adair has directed, coordinated, and managed case strategy and activities with clients and codefendants through nearly all stages of litigation, including appeals.
In law school, Mr. Adair worked as a teaching assistant for the University of Texas Law School legal writing program and as a research assistant in the area of commercial law. He was also a member of the Texas International Law Journal. Prior to law school, Mr. Adair was a legislative assistant for a U.S. Representative. He handled transportation, environmental, agricultural, judicial, tax, and economic matters. As part of this work, Mr. Adair was involved in reforms to the nation's transportation infrastructure following 9/11.
